Mobile Detailing for the Inner North
The Inner North is apartments, townhouses and terraces, Braddon walk-ups, Turner brick blocks, the new builds along Northbourne. Most people we detail for up here don't have a driveway, a hose, or a garage. That's exactly why a mobile detailer makes sense.
We bring our own water and power, park in the visitor bay or on the street, and get the job done while you're at the cafe or the desk.
The Inner North is Canberra's densest residential district. It skews younger, students, hospitality staff, professionals in their first apartment, and the cars reflect that. Small hatches, Corollas and i30s, a growing number of Model 3s and BYD Attos, and a fair share of weekend project cars parked in the same visitor bay week after week. What almost none of them have is somewhere private to wash the car properly.
Try to hand-wash a car in most Braddon or Turner buildings and you'll get a knock on the door from strata inside twenty minutes. Even the newer developments in Braddon East and along Mort Street don't provide a car-wash bay. That leaves two options: drive across town to a self-serve wash bay in Fyshwick, which takes half your Saturday and gives you a mediocre result, or book someone to come to you.
Our Inner North setup is built for that. The van is self-contained, we carry roughly 200 litres of clean water, a filtered pressure system and a quiet generator, so we don't need a tap, a power point, or a hose reel. All we need is a bay to park the car in for a couple of hours. That works in nearly every apartment complex we've been to on this side of Northbourne, and when it doesn't, on-street parking on Elouera, Doonkuna or Watson Street is usually fine for a mid-morning appointment.
The other thing that shifts up here is what people ask for. We get very few 4WDs and very few "hasn't-been-cleaned-in-two-years" jobs. Most Inner North bookings are one of three things: an interior detail because someone spilled coffee on the way to work, an exterior detail to strip tree sap and pollen off a car that lives outside all year, or a light-touch full detail before selling the car privately or handing back a novated lease. EV owners in particular tend to book us because a Model 3 or a Polestar doesn't fit through the touchless bay at some of the local car washes without folding the mirrors in and holding your breath.
Timing-wise, we prefer to hit the Inner North in the morning. Visitor parking fills up around lunch in Braddon and Dickson, so an early start means we finish and clear the bay before it matters. Workplace details around ANU, Dickson shops or the Canberra Centre are the opposite, we do those across the middle of the day when your car is sitting still anyway. Either way, we'll send you a photo when we're finished and take payment by card or bank transfer once you're happy.
Services this area asks for
Small cabins, big use. Coffee stains, pet hair from Haig Park walks and cafe crumbs, the interior detail resets it in a couple of hours.
Cars that live on the street cop tree sap, pollen and bird mess year-round. A regular exterior detail strips it off and seals the paint.
The pre-sale or end-of-novated-lease favourite. Inside and out, decontaminated and sealed, ready to photograph or hand back.

"Live in a Braddon apartment, no way to wash the car. Booked in, they turned up in the visitor bay, done in two hours. Car looks better than when I bought it."
Questions we hear from this area
I live in a Braddon apartment with no driveway, can you still detail my car?+
Yes, that's actually most of our Inner North work. We turn up at the visitor bays in your building's carpark, in the loading zone out front, or at the street-level parking on Lonsdale Street. Our van carries its own water tank and generator so we don't need a tap or a power point, nothing plugs into your building. If your building has strict rules about visitor parking, just message us the details and we'll work around it.
Can you come to my office in Dickson or the city instead of home?+
Happy to. A lot of Inner North locals get us to detail the car during work hours so they don't lose a weekend to it. Kingston-side offices and Civic buildings work the same way, park in your usual bay in the morning, we'll do the job across the day, and you drive out at 5pm with the car done.
Book your detail.
Tell us about your vehicle and we'll come back with availability and a fixed quote, usually within a few hours.
