Detailing That Actually Comes to Tuggeranong

The Tuggeranong problem, if we're being honest about the market, is that most Canberra detailers are clustered in the northern industrial suburbs, Fyshwick, Mitchell, Hume, with a handful in the inner south. If you live in Conder or Banks and want a proper detail from one of them, you're looking at a 40-minute drive each way, plus half a day sitting in a waiting room while the work gets done, plus another 40 minutes home. That's not worth it for a full detail every three months, let alone a regular wash.

The mobile setup solves that problem completely. From our perspective, driving from Belconnen down to Kambah is exactly the same as driving from the shop out to Griffith, it's a morning trip, the gear is already loaded, and we're set up in your driveway inside two minutes of arriving. From your perspective, you didn't leave the house. You didn't lose the morning. The car got detailed while you were doing something else.

Tuggeranong houses are also physically well-suited to what we do. Most of the district is 1980s and 1990s builds on generous blocks, wide driveways, side access, a hose tap within a metre of where we'd park. Kambah in particular is one of the easiest suburbs in Canberra to work in from a physical setup point of view. Wide streets, easy parking, no strata to negotiate with. Newer Conder and Banks builds trend narrower on the driveway but generally still work fine, and Calwell and Gowrie sit comfortably in between.

What we get booked for down here is a good mix. Full details on family cars are the single most common job, big Kluger, Sorento and LandCruiser bookings out of Kambah, Wanniassa and Calwell, but we also do a lot of exterior refreshes and quite a bit of interior work on utes and dual-cabs used for work during the week. A HiLux or a Ranger that spends five days hauling gear and two days doing the school run has a fairly specific interior mess, and steam extraction on the seats plus a proper hard-surface hand clean turns it around in a couple of hours.

Booking-wise, the deep south does mean we build the day around you a bit, we'll usually book Tuggeranong jobs as morning starts so we're set up by 8:30 and finished with time to head back up to a second job in Woden or the inner suburbs afterwards.
